For over 229 years, the Rothaus State Brewery in Baden has been firmly rooted in the Black Forest. Home, tradition, and modernity unite the brewery and the region. Over 64 years of Tannenzäpfle tell their very own success story. At an altitude of 1,000 meters, the Rothaus adventure world offers its visitors numerous opportunities to enjoy an unforgettable day: you can follow in Biergit's footsteps and discover the brewery between tradition and innovation. The exciting brewery tour takes you to the brewhouse, the storage cellar, and the bottling plant, among other places. Expert background information is provided on the craftsmanship of the master brewers and the technically sophisticated processes within the facilities. At the end of the tour, visitors can enjoy a fresh Tannenzäpfle at our Zäpfle Bar.
Guests can also explore the Zäpfle Trail deep into the forest to the Quellgeist on their own. Covering 300 square meters and featuring over 26 stations, our Zäpfle Heimat museum traces the history of Rothaus, and our shop is a wonderful place to browse for a special souvenir. In summer, the large, cozy beer garden invites you to linger. While the adults can take a break and enjoy themselves, the younger visitors can enjoy a large adventure playground with a climbing wall, obstacle course, and water play area for fun, variety, and exercise.
