Your vacation begins as soon as you set off. If you're traveling by car, take the A81 (Donaueschingen exit) and A5 (Freiburg) highways, and Schluchsee is just 31 miles away. If you're traveling by train, the route via Freiburg and the Höllental valley is comfortable, scenic, and at times even spectacular. The shuttle service of the Ferienhotel am Schluchsee will pick you up at Schluchsee station.

Once you arrive at the hotel, you will be delighted by the location and surroundings: pure idyll. The gardens surrounding the hotel and the forest behind the building allow you to forget the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Children can run around and explore the surroundings: the sports and tennis facilities, the water treading pool, the bee meadow, and the herb garden. A short walk up to the Riesenbühlturm tower is rewarded with a magnificent view over the entire Schluchsee lake and the Alps.
