When planning a vacation, vacation interests often vary greatly. A few years ago, the kids were easy to please, but as they get older, everything often seems boring and dull. And if there is also a large age difference between the children due to latecomers or patchwork families, it is not always easy to find a destination that satisfies the interests of all family members equally.

However, a vacation at the Vier Jahreszeiten family hotel on Schluchsee in the Black Forest is so varied that it truly leaves nothing to be desired. And anyone who says that a vacation in the Black Forest is unexciting has no idea. Who wants to spend their entire vacation baking on the beach day after day? In the Black Forest, teenagers can expect a new, spectacular experience every day of their vacation.

There are numerous family activities to choose from. And if everyone wants to do their own thing... Mom can pamper herself in the spa and Dad can work out, then the children can look forward to fun with their peers: for the little ones in the Spatzenclub and for kids and teens in the animation program in the childcare facility of our hotel in the Black Forest – and all this in a wellness hotel that also has a lot to offer teenagers.

Summer fun – vacationing at the lake with teenagers

  1. Summer offers countless adventurous leisure activities for a short trip or a Black Forest vacation with teenagers:

    • Stand-up paddleboarding 
      You can glide across Schluchsee lake standing on a stand-up paddleboard. With a little skill and practice, this sport is a great summer experience for everyone. If you work up a sweat, you can easily cool off with a dip in the refreshing water. Equipment and a brief introduction are available from "RaffTaff."
       
    • Schluchting
      Never heard of it? Schluchting is a type of canyoning, a stream climbing hike, and is therefore suitable for anyone who is reasonably athletic and at least 11 years old. Schluchting in the Black Forest involves hiking about 1 km and 100 meters of elevation gain through the stream, over stones and rocks.
       
    • Downhill scooter rides
      On Europe's longest downhill scooter route, you race from Schauinsland down into the valley. The descent on the 1 km long route with its 750 meters of elevation takes about 1 hour. With a high-tech scooter and protective equipment, children aged 12 and above and adults (min. 150 cm and max. 120 kg) can experience the thrill from May to October.
       
    • Adventure Golf Park 
      Golfing at the Adventure Golf Park is a little more leisurely, but no less fun. The 18 themed courses are all dedicated to the Black Forest. For example, you have to hit the ball through a rotating water wheel or over the Ravenna Viaduct. Mini golf with a modern twist. Fun for kids, teenagers, and parents alike.

  • Snowtubing 
    Not far from the hotel is the Hochschwarzwald Fun Park. Here you can whizz down the slope on inflated tires, known as snow tubes, spinning around and sliding along the steep curves. The conveyor belt takes you back up again in a relaxed manner.
     
  • Snowboard school
    When it's gray and dreary everywhere else, we look forward to the beautiful side of winter up on the mountain, with powdery snow and bright winter sunshine. It's the ideal time to try something new, such as snowboarding. Various courses for beginners to professionals promise unforgettable winter fun.
