Tour tip 1: Schluchsee Hunter's Trail
The region around Schluchsee has always been closely associated with hunting and fishing. This hike therefore first leads through the forest, which is currently home to around 500 Black Forest deer, and then down to the lake.
The hiking tour follows narrow paths up the old "Jägerpfad" (hunter's trail) to the Ahaberg and rewards you with an impressive panoramic view over Schluchsee, which, in good weather, extends as far as the Swiss Alps. After the peace and seclusion of the mountain, the descent to the lake shore follows, where the blossoming life on the lakeside path can be felt.
The hike can be ideally combined with a boat trip and a stop at the Unterkrummenhof, as well as refreshing swimming breaks in the lake.
